Turkey Eyes Better Ties

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Ankara is making efforts to improve ties with its neighbors, including Iran. "Despite the fact that the two countries have differing views on regional issues, Turkey is pleased that sanctions against Iran have been lifted under the nuclear deal between Tehran and major powers," he said in a recent meeting of the Turkish Parliament's Internal Affairs Committee, IRNA reported. Cavusoglu also said Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu plans to visit Iran, but did not give a date.
