Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday the international sanctions, which were lifted as part of the nuclear deal with major powers, had become a major obstacle to the country's economic development. "Some people were opposed to the nuclear deal, but we said the agreement should be assessed by taking into account sanctions, unemployment and closure of factories," IRNA quoted Larijani as speaking in a public gathering in Qom. "Some obstacles had been created by sanctions and it had become the weak point of our economy," he said.
