Afghan Ties

First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri has sent a message to Afghan Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah congratulating him on assuming his new post, ISNA reported on Wednesday.
He also expressed hope that the “brotherly” relations between Tehran and Kabul would be strengthened in all areas taking advantage of great similarities between the two nations.
Under a unity deal signed in September following a disputed presidential election, Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah were named as president and chief executive respectively.
