NATO Open to Coop. With Iran

NATO Special Representative for the Caucasus James Appathurai did not rule out the possibility of the military alliance establishing relations with Iran following the implementation of the nuclear deal and the removal of anti-Tehran sanctions. "We have received no indication from Iran; there are no discussions within NATO about establishing relations," Appathurai said as quoted by Trend News Agency. "I don't exclude that it might happen at some point in the future."
