Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Behrouz Kamalvandi announced that the country has exchanged drafts on future nuclear cooperation with Spain in such fields as power plant construction, human resources and simulation.

“Based on these drafts, which are getting finalized, they [Spain] will cooperate [with Iran] in nuclear power plant construction, building capacities, human resources training, simulation and dealing with emergency conditions,” Kamalvandi was quoted as saying on Wednesday by Tasnim News Agency. “After the recent implementation of the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, numerous grounds have been prepared for international cooperation. Iran now has the option to work with many nuclear states.” The AEOI spokesman said some of these countries started talks with Iran on nuclear cooperation before the deal’s implementation.

“Spain, which was one of these countries, sent a delegation to Iran and invited us [to Spain],” he said, adding that Iranian nuclear experts made a trip to the European country last month and visited the country’s facilities. Kamalvandi said the drafts for cooperation between Tehran and Madrid have been prepared and will be finalized in a couple of months.
