Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif congratulated his Tunisian counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui on his recent appointment as foreign minister. In a message on Thursday, Zarif expressed confidence that relations between Tehran and Tunis will improve in view of increased diplomatic efforts by the two sides, IRNA reported. Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid named 12 new ministers on Wednesday in a Cabinet reshuffle he hopes will boost the effectiveness of his government, as it battles violent militancy and tries to revive the economy.
