A member of the Majlis Presiding Board told IRNA on Friday it is more than likely that parliament will hold a confirmation vote on President Hassan Rouhani's proposed candidate for the post of science, research and technology minister on Wednesday. The president has nominated Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi as minister of higher education. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi is currently the caretaker chancellor of the University of Tehran.
