Algeria Proposes Direct Tehran-Riyadh Talks

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has urged Iran and Saudi Arabia to hold "direct" talks with the aim of "restoring stability to the Middle East." The Al-Hayat newspaper quoted an unnamed source at the Algerian Foreign Ministry that Bouteflika made the proposal that Tehran and Riyadh hold a dialogue during his last week meeting with Iranian Vice President Es'haq Jahangiri in Algiers, Fars News Agency reported on Tuesday.
