A top commander said negotiations have been held with Russia for the purchase of T-90 tanks. "Talks have been held with Russia for buying T-90 tanks," Army Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan told Tasnim News Agency on Wednesday. The commander noted that Iran itself is producing T-72 tanks, which have "good capacities", but the Russian-made T-90 is more advanced.
