No Toleration for Sanctions

No Toleration for Sanctions No Toleration for Sanctions

A senior nuclear negotiator has said Iran will not tolerate new sanctions, emphasizing Tehran will give a “proper response” if more sanctions be imposed on the country.

The Geneva interim nuclear deal allows Iran to take measures which will “anger the other side,” Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in an interview with Iranian state television on Monday.

On the recent U.S. sanctions measure against Iranian companies, he said Iran regards the move as the imposition of new sanctions although they say they have enforced previous sanctions.

He added such measures will not help advance nuclear talks with the major powers, which have reached a “critical stage”.
