Stephen Mull, lead US coordinator for enforcing the recent nuclear deal between Iran and major powers, traveled to Vienna on Saturday to attend meetings on the implementation of the agreement.

"Lead coordinator for Iran nuclear implementation, Ambassador Stephen D. Mull, will travel to Vienna, Austria, on November 21 for meetings on implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action [the official title of the nuclear accord]," according to a Friday statement posted on the website of the US Department of State.

Mull was to be accompanied by US experts and the team was scheduled to meet other participants to the JCPOA, as well as the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is tasked with verifying Tehran's compliance with the terms of the pact.

Back on September 17, The United States appointed Mull as lead coordinator for implementation of the nuclear agreement.

Tehran and P5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain and France, plus Germany) on July 14 concluded the JCPOA, which gives Iran relief from sanctions in exchange for time-bound limits on its nuclear activities. The deal was officially adopted on October 18.
