Border Security Tightened

Iran has set up hundreds of new border posts to tighten security and prevent any possible infiltration by terrorists from neighboring countries, the deputy interior minister for security and law enforcement affairs said.

“We have erected 721 border posts to deter crossing by terrorists,” Hossein Zolfaqari said in a meeting between the heads of Iran’s diplomatic missions and governors in Tehran on Monday, Fars News Agency reported.

Zolfaqari added that Iran has installed surveillance devices and aircraft to prevent terrorists from entering into its territory.
