Top Reformist Policymaker Elected

In a meeting of reformists in Tehran on Sunday, former vice president, Mohammad Reza Aref, was elected chairman of the reformists' High Policymaking Council for Elections, as pro-reform groups prepare for a strong presence in the Feb. 26 parliamentary poll, IRNA reported. Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari, a senior member of the Association of Combatant Clerics, and Hossein Mousavi Tabrizi, secretary-general of the Assembly of Qom Seminary Scholars and Researchers, were elected as deputy chairmen.
