A senior military official warned on Friday about Washington’s continued hostilities toward Tehran despite the July nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, describing the US as “the biggest threat” to the Iranian people. Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali, the head of Civil Defense Organization, pointed to the recent statements of the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the US embassy in Tehran, and noted that the Leader said, “The US enmity has remained unchanged.” Jalali said the US threat would remain in place even after the implementation of the nuclear agreement, according to Tasnim News Agency.
