Morocco to Appoint New Envoy

Moroccan Foreign Minister Salaheddine Mezouar said the North African country will appoint a new ambassador to Iran in the near future. Rabat cut off diplomatic ties with Tehran in March 2009 citing Iran's alleged interference in its internal affairs. Morocco appointed a charge d'affaires to Iran a few months ago and Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Taqi Moayed started his mission in the Arab country in January, Fars News Agency reported on Friday.
