President Hassan Rouhani sent a message of congratulation to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the victory of his party in the recent parliamentary elections. In his message on Tuesday, the President Rouhani said the widespread participation of the Turkish people in the “successfully held” election with a view to forming a strong and cohesive government indicated the nation’s determination to shape a bright future, Press TV reported. Rouhani hoped that the election outcome would help improve relations between the two neighboring countries. On Sunday, the Turkish president’s Justice and Development Party regained the outright majority it had lost in the June election.
