Iran has recently arrested a Lebanese-American citizen on suspicion of espionage. IRIB News quoted informed sources on Tuesday as saying Nazar Zaka had “deep ties” with US military and intelligence services. The report did not give any details on when or where the suspect was arrested.
The report added that Zaka’s photographs show him in military uniform in a US base in Riverside County, California.
Some sources describe Zaka as “a hidden treasure trove” owing to his connections with intelligence and military bodies in the United States. Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps also detained members of “a network of infiltrators” affiliated with US and British governments, who had been operating in cyberspace and Iranian media.
