Top French Senator to Visit

President of the French Senate Gerard Larcher is to visit Tehran next week to hold talks with Iranian officials, IRNA reported.  
Speaking to reporters at the end of his visit to Lebanon in Beirut on Saturday, Larcher said he plans to meet President Hassan Rouhani, who is expected to visit Paris in the coming weeks.  The French official described his planned meeting with the Iranian president as significant, noting that his discussions with Iranian officials will focus on the latest developments in Lebanon. The top senator added that Tehran and Paris have maintained political relations under all circumstances.
