In a message to his Turkmen counterpart on Sunday, President Hassan Rouhani extended congratulations to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and his people on the occasion of Independence Day of Turkmenistan (October 27), IRNA reported. Pointing to the "long-standing historical and cultural bonds" between the two peoples, Rouhani expressed hope that bilateral relations would improve through closer mutual cooperation.
