Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei late Sunday visited the family of the late Lieutenant General Hossein Hamadani to express sympathy with and offer condolences to them, IRNA reported. The senior Islamic Revolution Guards Corps commander was martyred by the so-called Islamic State militant group earlier this month near the Syrian city of Aleppo, where he was advising government forces operating against insurgents.
