Masked gunmen in a sedan opened fire on a gathering of people who were mourning the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) on Friday night in the southwestern city of Safiabad, Khuzestan Province and killed two mourners and wounded two others. Provincial security and police officials have launched an investigation into the shooting incident, Fars News Agency reported. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
