A lawmaker says Iran is ready to cooperate with other countries, especially Bulgaria, in scientific fields.  In a meeting with  Bulgarian lawmaker Martin Ivanov on Tuesday, Abbas Moghtadaie who is the head of Iran-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group, said  Iran and Bulgaria enjoy great potential in various fields which should be used to strengthen mutual relations.  Pointing to significant progress of Iranians in the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, aerospace industry and nuclear technology, he said, “Iran has made rapid scientific progress and  is ready to share experiences and scientific achievements with Bulgaria.” Ivanov, who is head of the Bulgaria-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group, said the Bulgarian government and parliament support enhancing Iran ties. “Increased exchange of political, parliamentary and economic delegations will help improve cooperation.” Acknowledging the importance of parliamentarian diplomacy, he said parliaments and parliamentary friendship groups play a useful role to help identify opportunities for enhanced ties. Ivanov thanked Iran for its effort to promote stability in the region, saying, “Iran’s measures to fight drug trafficking, terrorism and organized crimes have a considerable impact on addressing the problems related to such crimes in European countries.” He announced that his country is prepared to help Iran against those  causing insecurity in the region and also drug traffickers.
