A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission criticized Canadian officials for leveling accusations against the Islamic Republic regarding its human rights record “Unfortunately, the Canadian government follows policies set by the Zionist regime and implements plans devised by the Zionists,” Seyyed Baqer Hosseini told ICANA on Friday. He said Canadian officials make “outrageous” remarks against the Islamic Republic to “get attention” in the international arena. “The Canadian government and officials are subservient to Britain and the United States and have no control over their remarks and actions.” He added that “western governments try to create a commotion against Iran [regarding its human rights record], but they should be aware that the Islamic Republic will never give in to hostile actions.”
