In a message to his German counterpart on Monday, President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Joachim Gauck and his people on the occasion of the Day of German Unity (October 3), ISNA reported. Pointing to the "long-standing, friendly" relations between the two countries, Rouhani expressed hope that in view of the recent thaw in Iran-West ties, cooperation between Tehran and Berlin would be increased.
