EP President to Visit

President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz is scheduled to visit Iran on October 11 to help promote ties between Tehran and the European Union in the wake of the July 14 nuclear agreement between Iran and major powers, ISNA reported citing a spokesperson for the senior lawmaker.
Schulz is the first EP official that visits Iran after the conclusion of the nuclear accord. A delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament visited Iran in early June.
The nuclear pact will lift UN, US and EU sanctions against Iran in return for time-bound limits on Tehran’s nuclear work, clearing the way for increased trade between Iran and Europe.
