Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met his Iraqi counterpart Ibrahim al-Jaafari in New York on Sunday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly to discuss the latest regional developments, IRNA reported.
The top Iraqi diplomat said Iran can have a “major share” in efforts to resolve the Syria conflict and other regional crises, urging Tehran to play a greater role to help overcome regional challenges.
