Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has said ties with Tehran are of great value to Hanoi, calling for expansion of “constructive” cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) organization.  The Vietnamese official made the remarks in a meeting with First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri in Tehran on Tuesday, IRNA reported. He said Vietnam, as the current chair of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), supports the talks between Iran and the major powers on the dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program. Jahangiri, for his part, said the Islamic Republic attaches importance to its relations with member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), particularly Vietnam.
