In a decree on Sunday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif appointed Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh as charge d'affaires in London, according to a Foreign Ministry press release. Habibollahzadeh had previously served as non-resident charge d'affaires in London and director of the Foreign Ministry department for Western Europe. Tehran and London reopened their embassies on August 23 after a nearly four-year break in their full diplomatic ties.
