Critics of the July nuclear deal with major powers are now convinced that technical arrangements regarding the Arak heavy water reactor under the accord are sound, a member of the Majlis commission on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as the agreement is officially known, told IRNA on Monday. Abbas Ali Mansouri Arani made the statement in reference to the Monday visit of the panel’s members to the Arak facility. “The trip to Arak was very useful and all became convinced that what has been agreed in relation to the heavy water reactor is a sound and major job.”
The lawmaker added, “I think no doubts about the reactor remain in the minds of the commission’s members as they received adequate responses to their questions.”
