In a message to his Mexican counterpart on Tuesday, President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Enrique Pena Nieto and his people on the occasion of Mexico’s Independence Day (September 16), ISNA reported.
Rouhani expressed hope that increased cooperation and “targeted” and “effective” talks between the two countries’ officials would help promote relations between Tehran and Mexico City.
He also wished wellbeing and success for the Mexican president and the people of the North American country.
