Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations says Tehran is ready to “close ranks” with other members of the international community to promote “peace, moderation, dialogue and understanding” among cultures, religions and civilizations. Gholamali Khoshroo made the statement on Wednesday in a speech to the High-Level Forum on a Culture of Peace at the UN headquarters in New York, according to a transcript of his remarks posted on the website of Iran’s Permanent Mission to the UN.
