Former Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad has praised President Hassan Rouhani's policies saying Kuala Lumpur has always been seeking to expand ties with Iran in all areas. He made the remarks in a recent meeting with Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur Mohammad Jalal Firouznia, ISNA reported on Tuesday. He also expressed hope that the lifting of sanctions and the removal of pressure on Iran would pave the way for increased bilateral cooperation.
