Parliamentary Messages

Parliament speakers of Kuwait and Georgia congratulated their Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani in separate messages on the conclusion of the recent nuclear agreement, ICANA reported on Sunday.  Iran reached an agreement over its nuclear program with major powers on July 14, which envisages the lifting of sanctions.   Georgian Parliament Speaker Davit Usupashvili felicitated Larijani on the agreement and said, “The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was a great success for all.” He praised the parties’ efforts to resolve the complicated issue by means of diplomatic engagement.   The top Georgian lawmaker described the accord as a major step toward promotion of international peace and cooperation.   In his congratulatory message, Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim noted that the landmark deal brought “great joy” since it could bring countries closer together. “This deal could speed up efforts to restore stability to the region, helping fulfill the aspirations of our nations for greater security and development.”
