A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission underlined the need to boost defense capabilities, saying that Iran's military preparedness compelled the West to engage in the nuclear talks with Tehran.  Mohammad Hassan Asafari told ISNA on Saturday it is wrong to think that the recent nuclear deal with major powers can eliminate security threats, but it is the prowess of the armed forces which can repel threats.
