Modern Radars

Two domestically manufactured “strategic” radars will be put on display on Tuesday, a high-ranking commander announced on Saturday.
The radars, named Bina and Nazir, will be deployed in a mountainous area and a plain, said Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base.  He noted that the systems have advanced technological capabilities, Press TV reported.
The long-range radars can detect small flying objects and cruise missiles with high accuracy, he explained.  In addition, Esmaeili said the Talash missile system has been produced in cooperation with the Defense Ministry to intercept targets at medium and high altitudes.
