Last month’s nuclear agreement between Iran and major powers has had considerable regional and international implications, the nuclear chief said.
The agreement has significantly affected relations between Iran and the West, the Middle East as well as the whole international community, Ali Akbar Salehi said in an interview with the Chinese Central Television. The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran maintains that the accord could bring about changes at international level and that the situation which had existed before the agreement would never resurface. On sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program, he said the growing pressure in recent years led to broader cooperation between Iran and China.
Tehran and Beijing have had satisfactory economic ties over the past decade, a period which saw Sino-Iranian trade cross the $50 billion mark, said the AEOI chief.
