Security forces arrested Islamic State terrorists who planned to carry out a bomb attack after entering Iran, the intelligence minister said.
Mahmoud Alavi said on Tuesday IS had hatched plots to carry out bombings in five regional countries, including Iran, Press TV reported.
It was not known how many suspects were arrested and when.
He added that the terrorists were handed over to the judiciary.
The minister also said security forces have recently seized consignments of explosives, weighing 150, 350 and 50 kilograms, in the southern parts of the country.
