The July nuclear deal signed in Vienna by Iran and six major powers offers the entire region, particularly the Persian Gulf Arab states, considerable scope for cooperation, Iran’s envoy to Kuwait, Alireza Enayati said in an interview with ISNA on Tuesday. “Following the Vienna accord, favorable conditions have emerged for improved regional cooperation,” he said, adding, “The Persian Gulf region should move to fully draw on the benefits of the deal.” The nuclear pact was a win-win deal not only for the parties involved but also for “all others in the region and beyond,” he was quoted as saying.  His remarks came after reports in Tehran said last week that Iran and the six-nation (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council are expected to hold talks with the aim of promoting mutual understanding on regional issues. The first round of the meeting is reportedly due to be held by mid-September.
