Need to End Yemen Blockade

Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi said it is essential that the international community take action to end the Saudi-imposed blockade of Yemen, which has aggravated the humanitarian situation in the impoverished war-ravaged Arab country.
The senior diplomat made the remark in a meeting with Peter Maurer, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in Tehran on Wednesday, IRNA reported.
“The blockade on Yemen needs to come to an end with the resolve of the international community,” Sarmadi said, stressing, “Politicizing humanitarian aid to the blockaded country is not acceptable.”
