Adequate Time for Nuclear Deal

Adequate Time for Nuclear Deal

The US State Department spokeswoman has said there is still “adequate time” for Iran and the major powers to strike a final deal on Tehran’s nuclear program.

“Our focus... is determining whether it’s possible to reach an agreement by November 24 (the target date for a deal),” Jen Psaki told reporters on Wednesday.
US officials “continue to believe that there is still adequate time to work through these issues and arrive at a comprehensive agreement,” AFP quoted her as saying.
“We still don’t have an understanding of the major issues, so that’s what the purpose of the discussion is,” she said, adding there would be “many more meetings” including at expert level as Iran and the major powers try to hammer out a deal.
