Majlis Panel Will Study JCPOA Details

The deputy chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said on Sunday a certified translation of the nuclear agreement with major powers, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, has been distributed among members of commission for detailed examination.
Lawmaker Hossein Sobhaninia said in its two most recent sessions the panel has reviewed the general points of the plan, ISNA reported.
He noted that two senior nuclear negotiators, namely Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi, attended the sessions to provide the lawmakers with information on the political and technical aspects of the JCPOA.
During the sessions, the commission examined the general outline of the plan, Sobhaninia said, adding, "In its next week's meeting, the commission will look into details of the plan together with its political and technical aspects at international level."
Members of the negotiating team as well as Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will also attend future meetings if necessary, he noted.
After wrapping up the scrutiny, the commission will submit a report to the Majlis presiding board for a decision on how to proceed with the review of the deal.
