French President Francois Hollande said late Monday Iran has a role to play in regional crises in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf after the accord on nuclear energy it signed with major powers earlier this month.
“Iran is a country that must bring solutions including in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain,” Hollande told reporters at the annual dinner with members of the press covering the president, Bloomberg reported.
Iran’s way to welcome Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on his July 29 visit to Tehran will be “defining of Iran’s behavior,” he said.
