Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, was to attend a meeting of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Tuesday to brief the lawmakers on the latest efforts to put the recent nuclear pact with major powers into effect. Hossein Sobhaninia, a member of the commission, told IRNA before the meeting the negotiators report to lawmakers because the Majlis is tasked with overseeing the implementation of the deal.
