PMD a Wrong Term

A senior nuclear negotiator said the International Atomic Energy Agency wrongly calls the past issues regarding Tehran’s nuclear activities the possible military dimensions of Iran’s program.  In an interview with ICANA, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi said Iran and the UN nuclear agency have signed a new “roadmap” for the resolution of “the past issues.” He also said under the recently reached nuclear deal with major powers, Iran has accepted to “voluntarily” implement the IAEA’s Additional Protocol, adding that whenever the US Congress decides to terminate the sanctions it has imposed against Iran, the Majlis may decide to study and ratify the protocol. Under the deal, the US has accepted to “cease” the application of its sanctions against Iran when the IAEA verifies that Tehran has implemented the nuclear-related measures set out in the agreement.
