Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif lamented that some officials of regional countries still make remarks that go against the principle of good neighborliness despite the deal reached between Iran and major powers to resolve the long-running dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program.
“Such remarks and reactions are due to the fact that these countries used to justify some of their wrong policies on the region by promoting Iranophobia, but now they have lost the tool,” Zarif said in an interview with ICANA on Saturday.
The top diplomat added that the Islamic Republic as in the past invites all regional and neighboring countries to engage in dialogue to help foster “unity” and find ways to counter “common threats.”
