EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said on Monday she intends to visit Tehran very soon to support the first step of the comprehensive agreement reached last week on Iran’s nuclear issue.
“We started by sharing with the ministers our results on Iran. We endorsed the agreement that we reached in Vienna last week, in parallel with the unanimous UN Security Council Resolution endorsing the agreement,” she told a press conference after a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, Kuwait News Agency reported.
Sputnik also quoted the top EU diplomat as saying, “It (the deal) is also a possibility for rebuilding trust between Iran and its neighbors, between Iran and international community,” adding that the European Union is ready “to facilitate this rebuilding of trust in the region.”
