Humanitarian Concerns

Justice Minister Mostafa Pourmohammadi expressed concern on Sunday over the “critical conditions” of children in Palestine, Syria and Yemen, stressing that the international community should help ensure the rights of children in the conflict-hit countries, IRNA reported.
Pourmohammadi, who was speaking at the 13th session of national coordinating council on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, also underlined the need to pay more attention to the situation of children.
He thanked the council for its efforts to uphold the rights of children and said reports by the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and Iran’s High Council for Human rights indicate that the council’s performance has been desirable.
