The deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs said the continuation of Saudi-led strikes against the “defenseless” Yemeni people on Friday coinciding with International Quds Day was “a disgrace to the Muslim world and the Arab world.”
Hossein Amir Abdollahian made the remark in an interview with IRNA on Saturday.
International Quds Day is observed by Muslims around the world on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan in solidarity with the Palestinians against the occupying Israeli regime.
Amir Abdollahian also said terrorism and Zionism are “two sides of the same coin.”
“Today the main mission of extremist and terrorist groups is to plunder the resources of Muslim countries and destroy the axis of resistance against the Zionist regime.”
