Deputy Foreign Minister Hassan Qashqavi on Monday expressed dissatisfaction with the execution of an Iranian national, who was accused of drug trafficking, in Saudi Arabia and called on the Saudi government to provide an explanation about the legal process taken to give a death sentence to the Iranian.
The Iranian national was beheaded on September 2 in eastern Saudi Arabia.
Qashqavi also said Riyadh must provide information about the Iranian's access to a lawyer and a translator.
In addition, he said the situation in the region necessitates increased empathy among the countries in the region.
