A member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission lamented that some critics of nuclear talks with major powers have launched a smear campaign against the negotiators. “What we have witnessed over the past few months has been insulting and smearing , meaning that some people are ready to sacrifice national interests for the interests of their groups,” Abbas Ali Mansouri Arani told ICANA on Sunday. He also said, “Sound and constructive criticism is certainly helpful and can help shed light on the hidden pointes overlooked by the negotiating team.” In addition, the lawmaker said although the prolongation of nuclear talks does not benefit Iran, national interests should not be sacrificed to meet a target date for a deal.
